The cut for @home is 35% of the basic service charge , but there are other revenue streams . Question when @home said they would be in 19 major markets did they mean cities or cable markets . As of now I believe they are in 8 or 9 cable markets ei. Shaw , Cox , Tci ect. P.S> If you talk to customer servive ask how long till you can hook up @Home to your TV.

Melissa, You said: I haven't gotten this service yet because I was told there are no modems available for laptops. The cable modem doesn't go inside your laptop <yet!>. But it will work! All you need is a PCMCIA slot and a NIC card. You connect the NIC to the Cable Modem via RJ45 twisted pair cable (~$5). If you don't have a PCMCIA slot, there are NIC cards that connect to your parrallel port. Although the PCMCIA would be preferred. Jump on it!!! It's great! ATHM Hyper Typer.
