Neil Hamilton Joins SSA as General Manager Canada

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 12, 1997-- System Software Associates (SSA), one of the fastest growing major package application software vendors, today announced that Neil Hamilton had joined SSA's North American executive management team as General Manager SSA Canada. Mr. Hamilton reports directly to Paul Lavallee, SSA's President Americas.

Most recently, Mr. Hamilton was Chairman, President and CEO of a Canadian-based company specializing in distribution, customer service and supply chain management software for large enterprises. Prior to that, Mr. Hamilton spent over 15 years at IBM in a variety of executive management positions, including marketing manager of the General Systems Division. I have a friend that works as a consultant with SSAX's customers (for more then five years at least). He tells me they are still not moving much product on the Unix front. He says that IBM is offering such a good deal bundling SSAX's product with the AS400s (installed at the factory), that the incentive to use a different platform is small. At least that's my understanding. Maybe someone else out there has some visibility on this issue.
