We're defining "recent" differently. The biggies you named didn't come out within the past year. Let me restate by suggesting that among the fastest-growing apps that were first released within the past year, some of them came out on Android first. Looking back to hot apps released pre-2013, you're quite correct. My personal experience is a drop in the bucket, but I can assure you that I chase profits and wouldn't be investing in Android development first if I had any inkling that iOS would perform better for us.
