"We're defining "recent" differently. The biggies you named didn't come out within the past year. "

With the exception of Candy Crush (released on iOS Nov 2012), the other apps I listed came out in 2014 (Disney Movies Anywhere and Facebook Paper), one in particular came out within the past 5 days (Office for iPad). The excerpt I quoted from Apple's most recent conference call discussed Apple's big hit exclusives from 2013. These are all "recent" by both of our definitions.

"Let me restate by suggesting that among the fastest-growing apps that were first released within the past year, some of them came out on Android first."

I am not being facetious. I am not aware of a single one. I would appreciate a specific example, more if it is actually a common phenomenon.
