Well that is a nice tease in some regards. Blowouts happen for many differing reasons. The anatamoy can range from a driller asleep to unexpected zone of a pocket of high pressure gas. Note the term pocket. Realize you are talking a very lighter than air substance below ground. Naturally, even marginal amounts, if the mud weight is light, will give a kick. Hear a freight train and it's a bad sign.

When they penetrate the casing and actually flow the well, then it will be known.
There will be plenty of time to make money on it. You still have to drill x amount of wells to determine what the size of the resivor. You can have a 5000 bopd well but a small resivor, for example in the negative.

What it does say, is at least there is something there. The big question is exactly how much??
