That is your opinion. I have a different opinion. So how do we reconcile the differences? That is what democracy and civilization is about. Until we had democracy 200 years ago, everyone ran around killing everyone else. That is what you freedom lovers overlook. And there are NO exceptions in history.. Will Durant wrote the definitive works on the History of civilization. He knows the facts of history. And he saw what happened to myriad societies with myriad political and social systems. And this government you hate so much is what provides you with clean water, safe food, sewers, and protects you from bad guys and comes to your aid if you are hurt or your house is on fire. This government you hate so much protects you like no other government did its people in all of history!!! <<I would chuck out most of the laws, legalize drugs and tax them, eliminate most unions, introduce a flat rate sliding scale tax for individuals and corporations with no deductions, emphasise phonics and math in early education, increase military budget from 4.4% to 20% of the GDP, no pay tax no vote, open borders and let honest illegals in but regulate. We need to realize the worst enemy of the Republic is inspired bureaucrats who think they can solve any problem by printing more money.
