I also feel Bush conned America into an unnecessary war for reasons that have never been explained. Not only that, but he USED the 9/11 tragedy to do it. He had 70% of Americans believing that Saddam Hussein was somehow behind 9/11, without ever directly saying it. Bush would start talking about 9/11, then switch to Saddam Hussein, linking the two in shocked and angry American minds. Saddam was no threat to us.

That, coupled with allowing the greatest financial disaster since the Great Depression by having all regulators sit on their thumbs and let the market work it's wisdom make W the worst president of my lifetime, beating out my former candidate for that dishonor, Jimmy Carter.

The Iraq war con is the highest crime I can ever remember a president committing - far worse than Nixon's.

Yes, the Iraqi war was a mistake. So was the VN War and far more people died there. Why aren't you saying LBJ is/was evil also. (The Gulf of Tonkin is far more compelling evidence than what you have produced.)

In any event your take on it goes to motive and you attribute to W, without any evidence IMHO, that he deliberately set us on this course to benefit his colleagues. That the War was deliberate there is no doubt--but there is doubt al over the place about what you infer. And that is what you are doing---inferring a motive because IMHO it suits your ideological make up.

Others here have the same internal composition it seems. It is important to them that "W" be the essence of evil. Why is that do you think? Interesting discussion.
