I don't think W was evil, I think he let the neocons led by Cheney have the run of the house for too long. I don't know if Bush wasn't smart enough to listen to Powell's warnings or if he just let the neocons run amok to repay political debts. But he certainly worked hard to hide the real cost of the war, and presided over the regulatory failure the resulted in the financial collapse. Again, either not smart enough or in the thrall of the deregulation wing of WS. Three big failures is way too many. On top of that, he put Roberts and Alito on the bench. Why should anyone think Jeb would do anything different, and why should we trust him even if he tries to sound middle of the road??

To borrow your phrase "Blah Blah Blah." LBJ was carrying out policies set into motion by John Foster Dulles and yes, I believe the Vietnam War was a serious mistake. LBJ had many flaws but he was a far superior president to Bush. I'd list some examples but then, I doubt you'd even read them. You may now continue with your efforts to put lipstick on the Bush family pig. I won't be reading them.

Interestingly one of the most competent and thorough journalists currently practicing, recently produced and dedicated a documentary specifically focused on answering your, obviously tongue in cheek question, It had the somewhat misleading title of "Why We Did It" Given your apparent loss as to why folks think them good old Bush boys was evil mo-fos, and if you really are seriously asking about it, spend a few minutes watching this video msnbc.com If you are not swayed, or at least able to seriously question the premise Rachel offers, we can talk about it ..otherwise it appears as though you are simply trolling the board in your rather high minded style Trying to promote a POV that is fundamentally in conflict with the norms of the players here ie, any Bush guy is seriously what the country needs now ..or maybe you just like to argue
