I'll get to the video, Meta. I'm a little bit wore out now.

As to my motivation it's my belief that having Jeb in the Pub primary is a good thing both for them and the country.

Also see my response to Ron here as to what bugs me about this "evil" thing.

"or maybe you just like to argue"

I think that's it.

OK--the video.

Maddox contends that we went to war (under W) to get our hands on the 10 percent of the world's oil supply that Iraq controlled at that time, and by inference suggests we did this because Cheney and Bush were oil man. And that WMD was a smoke screen for that "plot".

Well, one problem with this conspiracy theory is that the war destroyed Iraq's oil industry. It's still not fixed. And to my knowledge we haven't gotten our hands on any of it.

The other is that, for me, those alleging "evil" on the part of W have to show (me) he knew that there were no WMD's. I mean I knew it from the get go thanks to Seymour Hersh's reporting on the Iraq Nationalist defector plant known as "Curve Ball" (the nationalists based in Britain in exile wanted us to invade to restore them to power) and the fact that Hersh detailed how the German Intelligence service, who debriefed "Curveball" told us he was making it up about WMD's---but the key fact for me is did this info make it into the WH and was it ever considered in a meaningful way?

Remember W is receiving briefings that support the existence of the WMD's. How does he know they are not true?

If anyone can show that "W" knew the WMD info was not accurate then I'll accept he pulled off a deception and thus participated in "evil".

I tell you who I fault more than "W" on this is Powell. Surely, he had been around the block enough in the army to know the right questions to ask the briefers.

Anyway that's my take on it, Meta. Interesting theory though.
