OT<<Their product line is old, and they ultimatley will lose out to Microsoft. >>
Que, I strongly disagree with you regarding ORCL.
Please specify which ORCL product directly competes with Microsoft.
The closest I can come up with is Miscrosoft SQL server, but
it's no competition for Oracle. They are running on different platforms. You are comparing apples and oranges.
At least for a quite few years (maybe never) NT servers will not replace UNIX servers, at least for Databases. Oracle products are running on both platforms, their Developer 2000 is running on NT, Win95.
Oracle's direct competitors are Sybase, Informix, Ingres, and indirectl Versant (Object DB) VSNT.
I do not have ORCL stock, but I work with their products. This company has a bright future. It's very smart from them to spend a lot
of R&D on linking Oracle DB with the Web.

Regards, igl.
P.S. Sorry to bring this discussion here.
