I prefer cash. You are wrong about swipe fees in CA because the banks got a low passed that forbids charging extra for using credit/debit cards. One way around it is to offer a discount for cash. As it is, most charge the same so if you pay with cash, it helps the local merchants. Also, the fees are such a big target that a ton of VC money here is going into trying to get some of it. It may be why there is such a premium for applications on cell phones people use often.
