It was overpriced? Other networkers showing weakness up until now. Takes a while for the implications to sink in?

CSCO gets some % of its revs from Asia, just like everybody else. Plus, they were counting on big sales of BFR product from that region. Both are now in jeopardy. Also, after making new high, lots of funds and individuals have big profit in CSCO. Coupled with new capital gains rules, makes it attractive to sell here at high end of range.

>>>Anybody know why CSCO is being handed their ___ today? Down 5+ points<<<

Maybe it's because of my comments over on the CSCO thread...LOL! I've been having a riot of a time preaching about how that gluttonous bloated pig of a stock is primed for a trimming this holiday. ;o) Those CSCO shareholders have such thin skin for owning the #1 doughboy-networker. Check it out for some sidebar amusement...

<does anyone knows why CSCO is heading low taday?>

Pick your favorite one from following:
[10] higher than ususal INVENTORY levels in recent SEC filings
[9] insider selling in $ MMs
[8] company selling at 43 times trailing earning and 35 times next
[7] jjc sold at 90 and then went on record.
[6] ASND kicking their butt in telco and ISP markets.
[5] ATM switches routing CSCO's routers out of the door
[4] CSCO pissed off VARS. With pricing pressures, VARS taking their revenges.
[3] CSCO technology was never at cutting edge (remember CSCC kicking stratacom)
[2] price destination 69 = 200 dma (for my jan 65 put )
[1] what goes up, comes down (to make money, you have sell just before it starts coming down)

or

[1] knowing CHI- X posts on losing stock's board, ASND thread regulars using their recent trading profits to short CSCO to .....

what would be your pleasure today?

CSCO got blasted because of an insider selling report of 340k shares by key insiders. If the number one networker that is eating COMS & ASND's lunch has key insiders selling, they're going to have a hard time convincing non-key insiders from not selling too.

If they sold at an average price of $80 (I'm lowballing), that's around 27.2 million dollars worth of funds. They sure weren't selling for their son's college education or for a new pool.

Also, the 10q showed inventory concerns.
