>>I have a much different life experience than you do. I have two daughters by two women and was divorced both times by the time the kids were five.<<

lol... you always assume so much and then draw some off the wall conclusions. Me: Two wives, two divorces by the time the girls were 5, 2 1/2, 3. I raised the third one as a single dad.

>>>Most of my liberal friends kids went to college and did fine in life. Because liberals, above all, value education.<<<

Anecdotes about your life are fine and interesting but based on the statistics I've already posted, your circle of friends are far from representative, and should not be held up as such. You have shown no regard for those tragic facts. That concerns me.

One got into UC Berkeley Why did you send your daughter to a university named for the man who started slavery in Virginia, Governor William Berkeley? What's the matter - couldn't find a Jeff Davis College?

.......
As governor, he stacked the Council and House of Burgesses with Royalist planters then institutionalized race-based slavery in 1661 and 1662. Prior to that time in Virginia, Native American and Africans were theoretically forced laborers; legally classified as indentured servants like their European counterparts, who would be supposedly set free after seven years of work for a master. After passage of this law, Native American and African servants were human chattel, who could remain slaves all their lives and whose children would be born slaves.

Oh yeah, there's this:

.....
Berkeley strongly opposed public education. Though he was unable to foresee the eventual establishment of such schools, he held that they would bring “disobedience, heresy, and sects into the world,” and were for such reasons destructive to society. He also held printing at the same level as public education.
