Past history is a good forteller of the future. Intel pre-announced on the FRIDAY, ONE MONTH PRIOR TO EARNINGS RELEASE. Today is the same Friday one month prior to earnings and we do not have an announcement. THus, with the guidance of John Hull and all that I read about robust INTEL INSIDE christmas sales, and the fact that INTEL is only slightly affected by the Asian crisis, I would hope that the institutions wise up and start buying this puppy pretty soon.

The federal judge was not telling MS that they could not bundle IE4 with W95, he was telling them that they could not force computer OEMs to INSTALL it. Compaq wanted to install Netscape Navigator on some of their machines, and MS told them that if they did not install IE, then MS would not sell them W95. In my view, MS's actions in this regards go way beyond bundling and do violate antitrust laws as well as the spirit (and the DOJ's) intent in the 1995 consent decree. Just my opinion, of course. I believe that MS has every right to bundle anything they want with W95, but if an OEM which pays for all of W95 then wants to choose not to install all of it, or to install a competitive module either in place of or in addition to an MS module, then MS has no right to prevent that OEM from taking such action.
