If that's what they see then they are simply wrong in general terms. Political conservatism in the US isn't about subservience or oppression of any group, at least not more than progressives/liberals. To the extent the disagreement is about free market political views (I don't know how free market Carson is, I'm talking in more general terms), then the connection to oppression is much less than that from the left, in fact pretty much non-existent.

It's great blacks have liberals to tell them what to think. Carson was a role model, had a movie made on him starring Cuba Gooding, Jr:

But now, he's let it be known he's a conservative and doesn't like Obamacare so he's become an enemy to be denounced.
