Would that be in the same way that Americans are genocidal coz they murdered lots of Amerindians and ethnically cleansed them from vast portions of their territory? Are we annexing Indian reservations right now? Hell, if anything Indian tribes have more rights than many other Americans right now.. They can set up Casinos on any reservation and rake in a bundle of cash.. So what was done, was done.. And since the League of Nations and formation of the UN, we've created international law that supposedly stops one nation from invading and annexing another's territory. Isn't that the primary reason the Israeli's haven't annexed all of the West Bank and ethnically cleansed the Palestinian-Arab population from there? They didn't do it because the UN would have considered it a Chapter VII violation of the UN charter requiring "all necessary means" to confront the aggression.. Even after Jordan abandoned it's claim to the West Bank, Israel knew that annexing it was "verboten".. But apparently now it's okay for Putin, so maybe it's ok for the Israelis? And maybe even for the Turks, who might just desire restoring their previous Ottoman Empire? This is a pretty slippery slope that we're letting Putin walk.. Putin is not like Adolf and has no intention of marching down the Champs Elysee or sending his equivalent of Rommel across the north African desert Well, just like Hitler talked about restoring the "Third Reich", Putin talks about restoring the Russian Empire.. Heck, one of Putin's closest advisers (until 2005) claims that Putin wants to restore Russian control over Finland. Same thing Stalin tried to do.. independent.co.uk These aren't my words, they are the words of people who have worked with/for Putin and understand him far better then either you, or I.. Again, Putin is an Oligarch in charge of other oligarchs.. He's basically the "God Father" of the Russian Mafia because he has his intelligence and military assets to enforce his will.. And he's also pretty damn good at the kind of propaganda the Russian people want to hear.. Hawk
