I agree there are those types of people. And I'll expand a little on the second group:

A small percentage of drug abusers have their lives destroyed by drugs (which includes alcohol). They cannot control it, they will take any drug they come in contact with -- whether it is pot, coke, Meth, or whiskey, they'll use it. The only thing that can help these people is to realize it is destroying their life which sometimes can be done during drug treatment programs.

For most of these people the only drug treatment they'll ever get or accept is that mandated by the legal system to avoid jail time. Take the legal system out of it and the only hope they have is that somewhere they'll hit a bottom (that changes their path) on their own and survive it. And this IS a group that will benefit from keeping drugs illegal.

I still think it's funny that commenting negatively on something like cannabis lollipops ( marijuanasucker.com ) brings this on. As I think I've indicated I'm perfectly okay with states that want to legalize marijuana (or anything else) do it. In particular, I look forward to users moving to such states.
