Oh. it marijuana definitely has some "behavioral side effects", Ten. Munchies, laying about, not doing much but staring at the TV, laughing, etc.

You should at least TRY it, just once. You've had a drink, haven't you? It's safer than that.

It is a relatively mild drug, and for most users has little in the way of serious long term negative impact.

But the logic behind making it legal would mostly also apply to stronger drugs if perhaps to a lesser extent.

In principle - If you want to put something in yourself it's your business.

In terms of practical results - The war on drugs costs a huge amount of money, results in a lot of violence, and in a high incarceration rate, doesn't seem to do much to reduce the availability of drugs, and encourages more abuses from government (expansion of civil asset forfeiture, more SWAT raids and a general militarization of police, etc.
