Business expenses as deductions? Of course you're entitled to them. They are costs to produce revenue.

Where does it say that the taxpayer has to help pay your business expenses...... There are all kinds of things that are centuries old, ie slavery is centuries old and at one time was a business expense....
My person view is that church contributions should be deductible to the extent they are used for charitable purposes.

Just another way of giving handouts....not so?

I do not see that buying real estate is a charitable purpose.

If mortgage interest were not deductible, it would cripple the real estate business....
