BTW, we might want to blame the GOP for the high corp tax rate. I hear the Dems want to lower the corp rate but the GOP is sticking with its "small business tax rate" nonsense. I don't like high taxes any more than the next person but the Dems are idiots in how they let the GOP get away with this. Small business owners get all sort of tax breaks for everything from nice cars to drive to entertainment budgets. Someone making $400K a year as a small business is probably making far more before all the deductions. I might want to see the top rate scaled back to 35% from 39% in exchange for getting rid of the loopholes and deductions for expensive first and second homes..... but we should not tie it to the corp tax rate.
