"Epictetus thought alone is enough to drown Christianity & Islam together in its practical thought and again with his cosmology/harmony of nature"

That is 100% correct.

I love the great work done by Thomas Jefferson in trying to extract some value from the primitive tribal stories of the bible! He stuck to the New Testament and edited out all the nonsense, racism, absurdity, and so forth. And he ends with final death...so as to leave it as a moral discourse rather than a descent into mindless superstition and special privilege!

Still, even with the immoral dregs removed, there is nothing there to equal more than a few pages of any of the great thinkers to whom we owe our humanity...

"60: And rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed." The End.

Here is the entire Jefferson Bible online! The only bible fit for your children! A bible actually worth reading even though extracted from a mostly fictional compilation of unknown zealots.

Solon, Plato, Aristotle & Socrates & Diogenes, or you can forward 4 centuries up to Musonius Rufus: All of them proponents of intelligent design.
