(offtopic) Crossy - thx. I spoke to a coworker of mine whose hobby is to build boxes for others. He raved about the K6 when I was ready to order a 6x86MX from Cybermax cybmax.com (knowing that you are using Cyrix also.)

No, my best understanding of this stuff comes from tomshardware.com, so I won't be tinkering the components myself.

I may buy a cheap box to tie me over until the notebook comes down even further <g>

From reading your posts your at least 2 gears ahead of me in the PC chip area. That being a given...what is your prognosis for INTC?

What must they do to again squash AMD, Cyrx/NSM, IDTI, etc. in their tracks?

Or...is it already too late in the game? I personally doubted them in the 486 era...but they came out smell'n like rose. Will it be different this time and why?
