Ken and all,

As a long term lurker and rare poster, I have also seen this thread deteriorate from an informative forum for learning about the company to a rumor mill for people with agendas of their own. As Frank said a while back (does anyone know where our leader has gone), it is an open forum and it is not the job of those who post to "parent the newcomers," and everyone needs to do their own digging if they want to invest wisely. With that in mind, I h ave a few questions to ask this forum.

1. Does anybody know what the employee morale is currently at S3? Are engineers bailing and heading for other companies in the valley with better prospects?

2. What ever happened to the faroujda (sorry if the spelling is wrong) investment? Nobody seems to include it anymore in the prospects for S3. Does that have an impact on the share value?

3. What was S3 showing the public at Comdex? I only remember a few people even discussing the products S3 had on display there. When is the next generation of products due out?

If anyone can answer any of those questions, I would appreciate it, and perhaps we can turn the tone of this thread around. I learned a long time ago not to invest a penny based on what people posted here, because most simply don't know enough to make a difference. If you want proof of that, and if you really want to be entertained, go back to posts from one month ago, two months ago, etc. and see what people were posting then, and then compare those posters whose names are familiar to you with their more recent posts, and you won't need any more proof as to how little the people who post here know. I can remember when the Fab alone was worth $500M!!!!

Just MHO, and happy holiday trading to all,

Sam Gompers

Ken,

If the SEC announces an investigation and SIII drops even further,
say under $4, I will back up the truck and load up, the PC industry is predicted to grow at a 14% clip in 1998, and that number takes into account the Asian situation....SIII is scheduled to come out with new product line in first half of 1998, and inventory that forced the company to revise earnings will be realized in Q4......buy em when theres panic in the street...

Good Investing,

Vinman
