Jan,
What you posted is fact, but alot has changed since the end of the
2nd quarter. The market looks ahead 6 months. S3 has not had
many (1 I think ) design wins for GX2, the MX has a design win but
other than that volume for S3 products going forward until new wins
are announced will decrease. S3 stated that the Asian market is
saturated. The other thing is margins. S3 has alot of margin pressure
as stated in the past CC. I think S3 will survive or be bought. I still
think there is more downside and then a 3-6 month flat period until
Asia settles down.
S3 has some technology that sounds quite impressive but other
companies are now working on next generation product also. The
intergrated modem, graphics, sound chips from CRUS and Cyrix
(now National Semi ) and Intel sound impressive as well. JMHO.

Hey JAG, everyone can share their opinion on this thread. If you
don't like mine you can just hit the next button or your other option is
