Sorry but I don't consider Wintel legal. The failure of the UNIX bigots to develop a decent desktop OS in their obsession to bit twiddle and chase flags is the cause of all this, not superior technology. Just today I had someone tell me straight out that we are still not getting 32 bit performance out of Win 95. Put 3.1 back on your Pentium 266 and watch it fly! I think unless you have been involved in the software industry up close, you cannot appreciate the damage done by MSFT to the industry through its monopoly tactics. IF Intel wants to be a great company then it should support open systems.
