If "wise" and "moral" meant the same thing, we wouldn't have to have two different words, moron. What's more, the subject that I claim that they had wisdom on, the design of the US republic, has nothing to do with morality or slavery. Their wisdom is evident in the survival of their design.

This is a great example of how lefties worship emotional arguments instead of logic.

Some did, others didn't. Adams didn't and thought slavery was an atrocity.

However, there was general agreement that if they tackled the slavery issue there would be no Constitution.

That was wise to the extreme. They recognized fully that the slavery issue would have to be addressed at a later date.
