I had a really good experience with Android while I was on it (HTC). But there was flakiness in the wifi that was annoying (iOS has its wifi problems, as well, but overall the implementation is better than what I experienced with Android.

While I do not like the closed platform of iOS, many, if not most, of the apps are better, and I attribute that to Apple's HIG and API standards.

The Android is a decent alternative to those trying to get smartphones without spending any real money. I don't think I'll move back to Android again, though. iOS is rock solid for the most part and there is just too much fragmentation amongst Androids for that to be the case, even for someone like Samsung.
