I agree and think WDC management was honest with us. For the most part I feel that lawyers should be shot and not heard. There are times when they are necessary, but IMHO this is another whiner suit filed by weenies.

Did I have a freudian slip in there somewhere? Maybe not ;-)

Anyone know what's going on here?

Just got back from the computer store (go every week to check out what's selling and what's not). They said that a few days ago they got CASES of WDC 1.4GB drives, packed only in anti-static bags. THESE DRIVES HAD MANUFACTURE DATES OF JUNE 1997 STAMPED ON THEM! No, that's not a typo: 1.4GB drives stamped June 1997. What's even more interesting is that they are priced at $149 (GET REAL!). The drives were made in Singapore.

Any idea what's going on here?? These drives just started to show up in the last few days (at least around here).

Maxtor is also selling better than last week. They sold more Maxtor 5.1 GB drives at $199 than all WDC drives put together. These drives are also just in antistatic bags. they had 5 stacks of 10 in the showcase.
