Ted, the ideal for welfare is that it's supposed to be temporary while the beneficiary gets back on his or her feet.

However, the welfare state is designed to keep beneficiaries on welfare and forever dependent on government. No one gets rich off of welfare, but very few will be motivated to get away from it.

Except the US is no where near a welfare state. That's just fodder created by R pols and pundits to scare Americans.

Hence a permanent underclass is created.

The 'permanent underclass' existed long before there was welfare state. Now think about why that was.

It's no surprise that said underclass is also "majority minority."

Majority minority? What does that mean?
