No, it isn't that.

What he doesn't understand is that if you repealed the 2nd Amendment today, there are so many guns in existence today they would continue to be readily available to anyone who wanted one to commit a crime or mass murder for centuries to come.

We have more guns than we have people.

You're not going to get rid of them. Ever.

Hi tejek; Re: "The grieving father clearly doesn't understand how important it is to protect the second amendment.";

I was really impressed! Not everyone has the presence of mind to turn their child's death into political points. The guy is an excellent example of lefty thinking. Funny how he's not asking to ban knives. Funny that he never bothered to examine the relationship between Hollywood values and his son's obsession with sex and violence.

And it's funny that these sorts of things tend to happen in Democrat enclaves. In the deep red part of the country we're up to our eyeballs with guns and our kids don't do this. Maybe it has to do with religion. Maybe it has to do with the fact that we don't constantly tell our children that they're doomed because the world is dying.
