I,m suprised no companies have made any buyout offers for qdek or are they waiting on the sidelines? If they have good products (they do) and marketing could stand to be improved. Why wouldn't some big co
with proven pr grab this one?

Thanks otc

Linch - I might agree with some of what you said if QDEK had any pricing power (look at the rebates), and if there weren't so many shares outstanding (and going higher).

Have you looked at a 2 year chart on this? In a bull market QDEK has drifted downward from $30 to where it is today. It amazes me how confident the folks on this thread are concerning the future of this company. What do you know that the market doesn't?

I have no idea QDEK's future will be, but I can estimate that it will be hard for the stock to make much headway because of the large float (earnings per share). They are also in a very competitive business segment.

I don't wish anyone any bad luck, and maybe I'm wrong and QDEK will be a winner.

Linch:

I just sent a rain coupon to a telephone receptionist in Henderson ,NV. The Rainforest Cafe opens in the MGM Grand supposedly this coming week. They always have long lines waiting for tables and I thought she would appreciate it. A good thing about the coupons is that the co. forgot to put the year on the coupon. One is for last quarter of year and the other one is for the first quarter of the year. One of the shareholders called IR and pointed out their mistake and they said they would have to honor them in any year presented, they guessed. I think I'll hang on to the rest of them for awhile. :-)

Just got a CDW catalog and it had 2 different ads for Norton Utilities and didn't see a single product by QDEK. Come on PR. Later.

Jeff

PC World's (Jan issue) review of QDEK's Zip-It 4.0:

Headline/Banner: "Quarterdeck's Handy Web Unzipper"

..."Quarterdeck's Zip-It 4.0 isn't the only file-compression plug-in for Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, but it handles the job better than any other."...

"Pro: Terrific browser plug-in for downloading .zip files.
Con: Limited drag-and-drop and search functions.
Value: Great for managing internet downloads.
Street Price: $40".

p.116, ad consumes about 40% of page

One good review, hopefully many more to follow for QDEK.
