Marcos,

A brother of a girl I work with just landed a $6,000 a month job at that mine working on the belt. Two weeks on and two weeks off and they even fly him back to Edmonton for his day's off.5 very intense interviews and he was in and he say's the mine can produce for 25 years.I think I might apply as a chef at the camp,I would probably make alot more up there than here.Hopefully Winspear can prove half of that mine and I won't have to slave in the heat anymore.

Thanks Marcos, its an interesting read.
For those not use to the north or barrens Im sure its hard to put the location into context. The territories is an enormous area. The camp is like a small compact site hundreds of miles from civilization.
A great white vista of snow, frozen lakes with a fee rock outcroppings. At this time of year around noon you can see a lighter spot on the horizon due south. Thats your day in mid winter a bit of twilight.
In a way it would be like running a mining operation on the frozen dark side of the moon. Everything has to be flown in and for most the camp really is the center of the universe Its hard to explain that type of isolation untill you have experienced it.
Its a great adventure in Canadian and North Americian Mining History.
