If you're of a religious bent, you can get by with anything because all you have to do is repent and you'll be forgiven.
..and as the criminal on the cross next to Jesus revealed, you just have to do it once before you die! You don't even have to practice Christianity, attend any services, or any of that. Today though, Christianity has serious competition:

Imagine the level/content of cognitive dissonance, a culture and individuals have to have, to put people on meat hooks on Saturday and go to worship god the next day.

How is that even possible?

I would really appreciate it if someone could explain that to me.
