actually not since I just noticed 2 different Y-axes. Here's a one year % chart and AMAT competes with SNDK in price movement, but is way behind MU

Thanks for the chart but I think it would be better if the y-axis was set for percent change via "price performance" to show MU is really up more than that one indicates.

I love AMAT as a company. Yet here's some history from one who owned it at 24. AMAT peaked after splits at 460. I had a friend who did take it all the way.

Yet that's a long ways from where the cost basis was for those who came in way back. If memory serves me AMAT peaked at 29000%. And as I've mentioned in the past somewhere DELL peaked at 84000% from it's incipient stage.

Although I saw the largest upside in an option I've seen with AMAT.. 33 TIMES as the 40 strikes for 2 went for 66 and the stock pushed 108 pre split in 1997. I don't see that possibility again for an AMAT. Maybe another that I'm not familiar.

So here and now AMAT is still a great company but the chances of it ever seeing highs in the past are slim. IMO

Not dissing buy just a bit of known history.
