Yes, Apple was a good buy a decade ago. I did a comparison recently between Apple and the "swing for the fences" small cap stock I recommended in my first newsletter, Lam. Lam was $3.33 and today it is $65.50 and if you plot LRCX vs AAPL over that same period, 10/1/98 to today, they show remarkably similar trajectories.

One thing I am sure of, even as I took profits in a few of my cheap Lam shares last week, is customers will still want to buy the best deposition and etching equipment from two major vendors but I'm not sure Apple will be the Sony, MSFT or HP of the 201xs....
