Purses: Well my source who sells these things tells me KORS is hot, that COH quality has deteriorated and that people have been turning away from COH to KORS.

No position in COH. Small position in KORS.

What's Mrs. Bekepuris' opinion on the subject?

Re Japan, there probably are plenty of cheap stocks in Japan, if you don't mind value traps <g>.

I typically start at the TSE website and then select the industry. I am interested in. The TSE website gives basic fundamental data like Book value and trailing earnings, as well as dividends:
www5.tse.or.jp

It's not much, but it's a start. If I find a candidate I go to the company website and the IR section (often in vain). I also look for info in Bloomberg and Reuters . Sometimes a google search returns decent information and if you are really lucky a brokerage report.

I have not done it for a while, because I am afraid it's also a sign of a market top if I have to turn so many stones to find decent values <g>.
