Jeff,

There is a talk of buying the outstanding convertible bonds, instead of stock. I hope your workmate is not mixing it up.

Hmmmmmmmm....I love QNTM, BUT: Near future uncertain, taking a $40 million charge sometime soon, now going to market for 400 million? WAIT, I KNOW WHAT TO DO! Buy KLIC and KLAC!

Jeff,

Wouldn't a debt offering be bearish rather than bullish? I'm completely clueless about such matters, but having a lot of cash (which I thought QNTM already had) was good in periods of extreme turbulence. That is one reason, I've heard, that Seagate is doing relatively well despite their horrible earnings reports. What is your interpretation of why QNTM might need to float more debt?

Thanks in advance,
Bill
