Hank <<<, but was interested in your stock holdings! Since you have a tendency to point to my trading I figured I would point out some of your favorite stocks that have not done too well>> Your apology accepted, I did not read either E-mail. Talk to the little woman, did you????(HeHe) What is my favorite stock?? Dell paid for my Texas spread, is paying for the house I am building by hand, and will pay for my grandkids education. My holdings are XX % Dell and X percent junk. ( And we have held very similar stocks in the past, like HD, etc.) There are very few on this thread with the resources, position, or even desire to implement the exotic trades which you have the time to accomplish. I do not know you nor do I know anyone on the thread who have met you. You could be an IRS agent or just a BS artist in a basement. And therefore my holdings are my own business unless I chose to state them here. Actually , I chose to believe that you are sincere in your postings, that you feel you have the answers to making money in the market, etc. But if you are doing as you say it would be called speculation if not outright gambling. And it COULD work if one covered and monitored enough stocks (takes time) at any one time. The life of a bear is often short, but since you are also long then market timing is critical to success. I have in the past commented here on certain stocks, like yhoo, txn, asmlf but seldom do it now because even with a long (and tiring) explanation it is not clear whether I consider it a short term or long term holding or whether I bought it to capitalise on a split and then sell it(usually) etc. I can relate to your owning Walmart and a disappointment when it matured. Dell has not matured yet. Dell APPEARED to have have become overpriced, overblown, overhyped along with many techs in August. The difference between Dell and the others that have now recently tanked has become obvious in the past several weeks. There were good solid reasons for Dells price in August, not so with the others which tend to move along as a crowd. The men are now being separated from the boys. There are people here who can learn from your trading savvy, but I think you are putting your reputation at risk by telling us here that you are shorting AOL and many others. And without stating specific trades, no one will will be able to tell the wins or losses, which is fortunate because most are here to try learn things rather than count the marbles. There is no need to restate your position on Dell, everyone knows it by heart. There are getting to be many bears on the thread today, and in your own words that is not a good sign. My best wishes to you and your family during the Holidays. Sig
