Obama, himself, said that what he is now doing as president was a violation of the Constitution when GWB was doing it to a lesser extent:

Ted, your position (and Obama's) is totally hypocritical. You can't get past that by just acting ignorant.

"We're not going to use signing statements as doing an end run around Congress." That is what Obama said. Yet, he has used and abused signing statements -- and has flatly stated that he plans to do more of it -- specifically as an end run around Congress.

Your position is indefensible on any rational grounds.

In other words, you really don't understand the issue. Get back to me when you do. Here's a hint:

The issue isn't directly about signing statements...........after all, presidents have been doing signing statements since James Monroe. What Obama and others object to is the kind of signing statements that GW Bush did...........I believe all 140 of them.
