Ben--I have been away all day and just had a chance to review the posts on this thread. I find your posts interesting, stimulating and sometimes provocative in the best sense of the word. Even the ones that others take as attacking, I look at with bemusement and think that in some ways you are being playful. I enjoyed meeting you in Annapolis and enjoy now putting your face and voice with the posts. Remember, I told you that I had pictured you as an old man before meeting you. As for your ideas on this post I think they are worthy of persuing and in many ways we already are. I would not invest in an HMO, a tobacco stock or Service Corp, the funeral parlor company, even though they make 20% per year until perpetuity. I like the juxtoposition of some of your ideas, such as Las Vegas and Miss Universe ratings. Imagery helps communication.<gg> As per finding fast movers, it is sometimes very hard to know ahead of time. For example, RECY which you cited, sat nearly motionless for a long time with a downward drift until it suddenly broke out on the day Doug said it was ready, responding to all of our catcalls and hoots at him, that he had put us into a dog (or cat to stay consistent with my metaphors). So, sometimes we are looking for the undiscovered with hidden TA and FA power, and now with Jeff, a good reading of the MM's mindset and activity.
So,stay with us and be brilliant, philosophical and jerky if you want, but keep posting. Best Regards, Myron

Ben:

Hi Ben. Nice hearing from you again. Been awhile since Annapolis. Excellent comments in your post. Very relevant to what we are trying to do. The more we points we can meet the more we improve our chances at picking a stock that all can benefit from. Hope Peg can add your comments to the Library. In fact, we might want to start a new section of the Library that is devoted to the concepts we agree on which should be part of the evaluation process for any stock that we select. Guess we will have to build a SUPER BLENDER for all the criteria that the members of the thread will come up with. As we refine the list through our research and experience, we might find that we come up with the magic formula to crank out SUPER WINNERS on a consistent basis.

Hope you enjoy the first stock selection to be announced and listed tomorrow.

Good hearing from you again. As a graduate of Annapolis, you have a reserved seat here anytime you visit.
