I agree, over population is central to all of our social problems. And the birth rate in that part of the world is tremendous. Males want tons of sons. Millions of Sunni fled Iraq to escape the Shia militias. The Shia have brutalized the Sunni the last decade. Part of the reason the surge worked was the Sunni using the American's for protection from the Sunni militias. This is not Isis invading as much as it is the old Sunni military using Isis to try and regain power and retribution. This is a sectarian war. Terrorists and Isis are minor players.
