I've thought of making that argument but how many depend on a fire department to keep their house from burning down and a police department to not give them tickets, DWAP (driving while anti pension) etc? As far as I am concerned, any vote by a politician that took any money from anyone who's contract or pension they voted on, is void and both the politicians and those who paid them should be prosecuted.... Sadly... a retired Santa Clara County prosecutor with a huge pension is a friend of mine... so even they have bias to not go after these illegally negotiated contracts.
