Lynn,
I too am long and have concerns about managements foresight. I agree with BigKNY that they should have seen these problems coming and acted months earlier. It sounds like production declined in Nov because equipment was overuse and not maintained and poor quality or just slowing down of the process was the result. Mike tries to put a hey they are early by 6 to 12 months spin on this. Well if they really deserved credit they would have done it right and have the new equipment and personel ready to step right in.
Now as far as the posted visit to the NEW plant goes - I really am not sure what that could prove at 5:30. My guess is that this is a fairly automated manufacturing process and that it does not take a lot of people - not a car assembly line. At this point they are establishing their production credentials for final ok by UK and FDA. I don't think that working around the clock in the new facility would speed are improve that process.
BUT I would hope that they are gearing up NOW for the full capacity that they see 7/98 and will ahve the necessary equipment and personel ready to hit the line running and not another dragged out diaster.

Long VIVUS - but not enjoying it.
Jim

A follow up to my last post. Does any one know if they plan to operate out of both plants in the future or are they going to move all of the equiptment into the new plant. If so what kind of delay in production will that cause.
