I completely agree Bob. Most auto recalls are completely unnecessary and generally a political football anyway. Examples that stand out is the Firestone tire debacle a long while back and the number of auto accelleration recalls of more recent times. Stories of autos accellerating to 100+ mph while a fully functioning break system is engaged is crap.

Sorry for the rant but much of is is completely absurd as are most of the auto crash lawsuits where we read about mega-million dollar settlements, etc.
