Hey Bob....You are totally missing the point on the ignition recalls. GM Claims that there were bout 13 deaths. But GM is only counting drivers that had on seat belts. (driving with no seat belt on and you are not counted....but you are still dead) Back seat passengers are not counted, even though they also died. Occupants of other cars killed or harmed have not been counted. (because their air bags went off) Add to this the number of fatalities that GM tried to hide under the title ..."driver error" and the actual number of fatalities is closer to 130. GM skimps on safety...and quality...the record of 85 million vehicles being recalled is nothing to be proud of. Like you said ..."its all crap" unless its one of you relatives The big question is... Why is GM producing so many defective vehicles???? For 30 to 50 grand the consumer is due a better vehicle....... I have owned many GM vehicles. ( and Im driving one now)...but now I will have to consider alternatives for future purchases.
