I am not either a short or long on VVUS but have followed this and the previous threads for quite a some time.
It is interesting that everyone on this thread is acting almost exactly like employees of large public firms when thing go sour..alot of finger pointing, denial, and a lack of focus from the real issue. The underlying question for all of us as investors is whether VVUS is a buy (if you don't own it) or a sell if you currently own it regardless of your recent loss.

It is very hard to take the emotion out of your decision marking process but many of the posts remind me of when a family member was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Our first reaction was to keep trying doctors until we found one who would give us good news! Doesn't do much good for anyone.

I am not convinced that VVUS is a screaming buy as of yet. Remember that CEO's at public companies are often less than truthful telling the shareholders the minimum required under the law. Most of these guys are selfserving so you must take their comments with a grain of salt. They blame, deny, downsize, restructure and then often make many of the same mistakes. Not that this is the case with VVUS but be careful and don't hang on too long due to emotion....you may get burned.

Best of luck to everyone and realize that these are just my opinions (but I have been through this with personal experiences).

Off to the airport!

Chip

- Actually, the only confustion I had from the confer call was the part about the 45 day distributor supply.

-- Several analysts asked what the ideal supply was. And finally, the CEO said around 45 days. Yet he still maintained that VVUS is shipping and will continue to ship everything it makes.

-- Can anyone clear this up?

-- Also - the shelf life - didn't come up on the confer call. Anyone know what it is?

Out.
