You are right, Reps have the right to vote they way they see fit. But they will reap what they sow, and as their base dies off they will be out of power for a t least a generation. If they manage to get their way and it drives us into the next deep recession, smart Dems will have an opportunity to build an FDR-type of coalition that could take and keep power for longer than the Reps could possibly imagine. We shall see in the fullness of time. :)
