<<<<< This is software and hardware replacing human brains, including some very smart human brains, like medical diagnosticians, among many others>>>>>>

Bentway, that is just not true, robots are opening up a myriad list of new opportunities. ..............You have to be able to divine the realistic from the farcical. They have been making absurd predictions for hundreds of years and most never develop into anything. The ones that do - haven't crushed labor - only transformed it. I'm never EVER going to get my UPS packages by drones. ............But even if I did you think man won't be involved in them? Retrieving the ones my neighbor shot down so he could get the package carried by the drone. Investigating to figure out which neighbor shot it down. Figuring out what clusterfuck in the software sent the wrong package to the wrong address. Designing new more efficient drones. The list is endless. of, ya and how would I return the fucking wrong sized pair of shoe? By return drone?

Medical diagnostics. Really. How the fuck is the robot going to do the science as the diagnostic test changes? Just the absolute hugeness of DNA and the testing of that and to try to compute that to some meaningful science so the next test can be designed - by robot? Good gosh no. Can robots assist under guidance? Sure and they are and that will all improve, but there is sooooooooo many jobs interrelated with that and the list of these jobs is growing exponentially as we un twizzle the DNA code. They are just beginning to see how complicated the interconnection of genes - both with a mutation at conception and those that became mutation as a result of some environmental factor. Designer babies - want to put robots in charge of that? Good luck.

I see the advantages of robots. I see the jobs that will be lost to robots and I see the huge opportunity of new jobs made possible by robots or with the help of robots. I'm not scared - bring them on!!!

You are dead right about the robots. We need to socialize big time with a huge redistribution of wealth.

If we started with free education our democracy would improve and we could continue on our way.
