Companies should make safe products and if there is any fraud to cover-up something found to be unsafe, then those involved should go to jail as well as GM compensating victims. If what I read is correct that someone changed a part without changing a part number to cover up their errors or whatever, then they should be charged with involuntary homicide and serve jail time.

The liberal idea of imposing their morals on everyone and everything else is a mistake. I don't believe companies have any inherent duty to be "good people" at the expense of shareholders above what it takes to have a good image in the World Community. I'd much prefer they maximize profits and send me dividends that I can use to donate to charities I like rather than what they deem politically correct.

I am also annoyed that I have to be a "bad person" and decline to give to this or that charity every time I buy something at a store and the frigging credit card / loyalty card machines require me to decline the charity this or that company is trying to raise money for to improve their image.
