Qdog,

I have enjoyed reading your technical analysis on this thread, and I want to thank you for continuing to post. I have a question on the use of vibraseis(spelling ?) in the winter. I once worked for Atlantic Richfield and have rudimentary knowledge of both the dynamite method and vibraseis method of acquiring seismic data.

In your opinion, are there any implications for using vibraseis in the winter time in Kazakstan? Would there be any possible degradation in quality due to the possible frozen layer of soil at the air/soil boundary? I have seen these trucks in use in West Texas in the summer, when it is hot and dry.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Regards,
Dr. Bob

Qdog, As usual your input is much appreciated. If that's the reasons why they're holding on to them, then that makes perfect sense. Other than that, I'm probably in the minority to think that they should let it out.

Afterall, as shareholders we have the right to know. All publicly traded companies large or small have to comply with that. It's the law.

In for the long haul, sycamore

1. The hiring of two crews to perform seismic analysis: a lot of talk that this means GF wants confirmation of Wavetech's tremendous find. Couldn't it also mean that GF is searching for someone to rebut a finding of zippo by Wavetech? Is that possible?
2. Every time I hear about the asphalt plant I get sick. Correct me if I'm wrong: AIPN will explode or collapse based on what's going on in KAZ. Asphalt related news makes it sound like GF is not focused on what matters. Asphalt shmasphalt!!
--- opinions, please.
